| Here we go again. Before we go on a tirade, we want to congratulate the members that are prepared properly and are submitting professional audition emails. We want to thank all the members that have come to us for help to make sure they are doing it correctly. This shows us you take this seriously and are open to educating yourself about this career. We love to help people who help themselves. Now for the bad part. We keep asking members to compose a resume to include with their submissions for auditions. - Alot of your are NOT doing it. WHY? Is it laziness?
- Is it that you do not understand the importance of a resume?
- Is it that when we ask you over and over and over again, you are ignoring us because you feel we like to talk/type?
Please tell us what the problem is. We have provided resume samples, we have stressed that regardless of experience level you need to begin or create a resume for your web page AND for your email submissions! 1-A resume has contact information: In the event of an audition, you need to leave a resume with the casting personnel so they can get ahold of you. Think of acting and modeling auditions as a job interview; same thing. You have to present a resume at the time of a interview as well as a resume to set up an interview. 2-In addition to your contact information, a resume has your stats; this too is important because a casting director or someone seeking a model may be looking for charastics/sizes in their search for the right talent 3.A resume has your skills; do you dance, have martial arts experience, juggle, wiggle your ears, shot fire arms and so forth. Put on your resume all of your talents and skills. 4-Interests; everyone one has interests, photography, gardening, writing, skydiving, rock climbing, driving fast cars and so on. Without even adding in any theater, high school plays, television commercials, film and extra work you already have a resume by just including the above. PLEASE, IN ORDER TO BE A PROFESSIONAL MEMBER OF EFM 'GET YOUR MATERIALS TOGETHER!' We want to see that everyone who submits from our site does it professionally, we have typed until we are blue in the fingers; how to submit and prepare your submissions- REGARDLESS OF EXPERIENCE LEVEL YOU NEED A RESUME!!!!!!! WE WILL SAY THIS AGAIN REGARDLESS OF EXPERIENCE LEVEL YOU NEED A RESUME!!!!!!! We hate to say this but most of you say you read it our emails and posts, but when you do the opposite and not incorporate what we write to help you; well what should we think? 1- You can't read, 2-You say you read it but you did not 3-You think you know better and that professionalism is for the birds 4- A casting director is going to see your photo and will fall over backwards screaming "I just gotta have this person in my film!" Do you think that if you cannot follow instructions by simply reading requirements and following through, what makes you think that a person seeking people to do a job will want to use you? So in closing please tell us what we need to do to get it through your thick heads to take us seriously? You must submit for auditions on our site professionally in order to keep your membership. We are not fooling around and if you think that hey i am paying them, forget it. We are not in this for the money, we are here to help people get the projects and if you do not want that, then please do us, our members and casting directors a favor and try some other career.
