To be a EFMGOLD member and have the ability to see and submit direct to Casting Personnel requires the following criteria: - If you have a personal web page, or state thumbnail posting on our web site or become an approved EFMGOLD member.
- If you have a full resume page on our web site,you need to include the link to your page in your email, which allows the casting director to view more photos and full resume in addition to any attachments you may include in your email submission.(example:EFM Member Levi's web page)
- You MUST read how to submit to auditions on our web site or forum! The tips contained there will help casting personnel take notice of your submission and you will not run the risk of your submission getting deleted.
- If you are on any other casting sites, you may NOT submit that link. We do not want our members sending our clients to competitor sites! Use your link to EFM ONLY. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY COMPETITOR LINKS. If we see it, your submission will be deleted and your membership to EFMGOLD REVOKED.
- Prepare a photo to be added to all your email submissions. Do not make the photo too big. If you are a member and need a photo resized for your email, just let us know via email and tell us your page link or state link and name. We would be happy to resize the photo and send it back to you with ourcompliments to help you.
- DO NOT submit for any calls that you are obviously not a fit in the description of the call.
- Do not submit if you are in another state of the call unless the casting director asks for other state submissions unless you can be in the state and be available for the entire project and if that is what you intend to to, let the casting director know so they do not delete your submission.
- Follow instructions as requested by the casting director.
- Introduce yourself. Do not make the mistakes made by countless others. Read our post about how to submit calls found on our web site posted in the forum to make sure your email submission is noticed!

WE HAVE ADDED A POST HERE THAT ALREADY APPEARS ELSEWHERE IN THIS FORUM - WE HAVE INCLUDED IT HERE BECAUSE IT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR AUDITION RESPONSES AND HAVE THEM READ! As we review the submissions members and users of our site that are submitting to casting director's for auditions, we are appalled to see the amount of people that do NOT take the time to follow instructions. We are also disappointed by the amount of people that have no idea of the meaning of professionalism, consideration or simply do not follow instructions. Samples of emails sent to casting directors: 1- An emailed photo- that’s it, just a photo 2-"Send me more information", this is all that the email says, there is no photo, no name nothing, just an email that says send me information. 3-When a casting director asks for a minimum of two photos for a call, many people send one or none. 3-As posted in a audition call last week the casting director asked that the person submitting place in their email the "name of the character part" they are submitting for. One out of a hundred actually did as requested. 4-In the audition it is requested that the person submitting include the job number in the email submission. We saw a higher rate of people doing this but one out of every five did not. 5-In some of the emails, people submitting would put HUGE photos as many as seven photos in one email resulting in a 12,000k email which in turn clogs the download time of the email that they are sending to and in alot of instances the photos are lost. 6-In most submissions the casting directors requests that people only in the state or city that the audition is being held apply but we have found a large amount of people are sending for calls in states that it is obvious that they could not possibly attend the audition. Often times people submit for calls in all sorts of states simultaneously. They may live in Florida and they are applying for calls in Arizona, California, Mississippi and anywhere else that strikes their fancy. What are they thinking? Unless specified, casting directors DO NOT pay for you to travel to an audition. These people are just wasting everyone’s time! 7-Our staff takes the time to write to some of the people submitting to reapply and to include photo, job number, and state location or to follow the instructions in order for their submission to go through. 99% did not respond back. 8-95% of the emails submission DO NOT indicate the state they are located in nor do they write anything in their email about why they are emailing in the first place. 9-A large number of emails have massive mis-spellings. These emails look like they were written in haste with no thought what-so-ever or sent by a five-year-old child. It is called spell check; look into it. This is unacceptable! We have posted information on our website tips on how to submit for a call, this appears to be an exercise in futility. No one reads it. So it results in the above, which is simply wasting everyone’s time. Please, if you are submitting the above, STOP! Don’t bother because all you are doing is causing your emails to get deleted by people who have to spend their time going through the useless email submissions. Your submission will not see the light of day; it will get deleted! But if you are really interested in getting considered for a part, read the tips below and make it a part of ALL your submissions. You will be surprised at how many more casting directors will request to meet you. 1-Be professional by introducing yourself 2-Tell them why you would be great for the part 3-DO NOT submit for a state that you are not able to get to. Most calls are looking for people in the state they are casting. Unless specified they DO NOT pay for you to travel. So please DO NOT waste their time. 4-Include a photo in your email, it does not have to be professional but a clear photo helps the casting director see what you look like. If you have the look they are seeking, you may get an audition! 5-Do NOT just send an email that says contact me for more information or just a photo, or omit your name and location. Casting Directors are not going to take the time to reply to an email with just a note that says send me more information. Do the above and you will at the very least get considered. Don't do the above and you run the risk of your email submission getting deleted in frustration. 6-If you have a webpage on ExtrasForMovies.com; include the link to your page so your pictures and resume can be viewed on the Internet. Still submit one photo but include your page link so they can view more pictures and full resume should they decide you have the qualities they are seeking 7-You must INCLUDE THE JOB NUMBER IN YOUR EMAIL if indicated 8-Make sure all your photos are .jpg format. Many people cannot open .wps files and other types of file extension. All should be .jpg to be safe. 9-Do NOT put so many pictures in your email that downloading it is difficult, many people have a limit size in their email and if you’re sending huge attachments, they may not get to the casting person. (NOTE: make a set of photos that are 250 to 300 pixels wide (8 or 10k is a good size and those can be your email photos. They are clear and allows for someone to see what you look like) 10-Read the posting carefully and FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS; read the posting more than once to make sure your submission is exactly what the casting director is requesting. 11- Do NOT submit for parts or types other than what the casting call asks for. If you do not fit the part, move on. We have seen people submitting for African American who are Caucasian and people who are 21 submitting for a part that calls for a 44 year old talent. 12- Do not submit for parts in other states unless you can show up for the audition on the date requested. If you do submit for an out of state audition, indicate in your email that you are able to make the audition and would be locally available for the duration of the project. If you do not follow instructions, then your chances of getting a part will be reduced dramatically. There is nothing more frustrating than people who do not follow instructions! If you cannot follow instructions, show professionalism or consideration in a simple email communication, do you think they will even consider you to work on their project? We want all our members to be successful and will assist in anyway, just follow our criteria and watch the audition requests come in.
